Glind is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it’s stored, and the rights you have over your data, in accordance with the GDPR, Dutch law, and Google Play policies.

1. Information We Collect

  • Email address and account information
  • Device details (for debugging and improvements)
  • Received photos (encrypted)
  • Match preferences and prompt interactions
  • Crash logs and performance analytics (anonymized)

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To match you with other users based on preferences
  • To deliver daily Glind challenges and experiences
  • To analyze app performance and improve functionality
  • To process support inquiries or bug reports

3. Data Storage & Retention

  • Received images are encrypted and securely stored.
  • We store data only as long as necessary for functionality or legal purposes.

4. Account Deletion

You can delete your Glind account at any time directly within the app. To do so:

  • Open the Glind app
  • Go to Settings
  • Select Delete your account and confirm

When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently erased, including:

  • Your user profile and email
  • All sent/received Glinds (photos)
  • All matches and chats

No data is retained after account deletion. If you have any issues, contact us at contact@glind.app.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services such as Supabase and analytics tools for backend functionality and performance monitoring. These services are fully compliant with GDPR and do not have access to personally identifiable data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties.

6. Children’s Privacy

Glind is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or store any personal data from children. If we become aware that a user under 13 has created an account, we will delete it immediately.

7. Your Rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your information
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
  • Object to data use or request data portability

8. Advertising ID (Android 13+)

If you use Glind on a device running Android 13 or above, the app may access the Advertising ID for internal analytics purposes. We comply with all Google Play policies regarding this identifier, and do not use it for third-party ad tracking.
